About The Founder
While incarcerated, Mizz Kim as she is affectionately known as, became passionate about the plight of women she saw resignate over and over. Due to lack of adequate transitional housing, without which women often resort back to unhealthy relationships and activities.
She designed Genesis Transitional Services to meet some of those challenges. Kim Brown holds an Associates Degree in Sociology, a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, a Masters Degree in Professional Studies, she’s a certified paralegal, a conflict and resolution specialist, and an ordained minister.
